THE AUDITIONS

At VM Ballet, the audition is first and foremost a meeting.

It allows us to discover each dancer in their uniqueness: their potential, their personality, their commitment, and their ability to thrive in a professional training environment.

The audition is also an opportunity for the dancer to discover if VM Ballet aligns with their aspirations and artistic sensibilities.

2 HEARING OPTIONS

Participation in an internship
(equivalent to an audition)

Intensive workshops are organized during the winter and spring school holidays. Open to all dancers wishing to discover VM Ballet, they offer a complete immersion in the demands and workings of the program, blending classical technique, repertoire, choreographic creation, contemporary dance, and physical conditioning.

These workshops can also serve as auditions, allowing the teaching staff to assess candidates in conditions closely resembling the daily life of the program. However, they remain accessible independently of any audition process, for those wishing to progress, refine their skills, or simply discover the world of VM Ballet.

Audition by appointment
(immersion)

The candidate is welcomed for an immersion experience of at least two days within the heart of the training program. This experience allows the teaching team to gain a comprehensive view of the student’s work while introducing them to the daily life of the school.

Before scheduling an interview, a phone call with the training director is arranged to better understand the student’s background and project. Following the interview, a meeting with the student, their parents, and the administration is scheduled to share observations and perspectives.
