THE SCHOOL

CONSTRUCTION STORY

In 2004, Vinciane Ghyssens and Matthew Madsen embarked on an ambitious project: transforming a former industrial site in Toulouse into a professional training center entirely dedicated to dancers.

This project gave rise to the creation of a welcoming working environment, perfectly adapted to the diverse needs of the Training Program.

Designed down to the smallest detail, it reflects the vision of VM Ballet: to offer students a structured environment conducive to commitment, hard work, and artistic development.

A SPACE DEDICATED TO TRAINING

The center is organized around two large, bright dance studios, measuring 100 m² and 150 m², which form the heart of the activity.

They are equipped with shock-absorbing floors and professional Harlequin dance mats, guaranteeing optimal working conditions for intensive practice.

All the spaces have been designed to meet the daily needs of students:

a space dedicated to physical conditioning
several rest and dining areas with a fully equipped kitchen
an outdoor terrace ideal for relaxation
changing rooms with showers

Every detail contributes to creating a functional, comfortable environment adapted to the demanding pace of the training.

A PLACE FOR LIVING AND BALANCE

Beyond a training facility, VM Ballet aimed to create a true living space.

Because training to become a dancer demands total commitment, it was essential to offer an environment that allows for a balance between artistic excellence, well-being, and personal equilibrium.

With this in mind, a dedicated academic space has been integrated into the center, enabling younger students to pursue their studies in optimal conditions.

Students can thus organize their day between dance and studies in a structured and cohesive environment, fostering both their artistic development and academic success.

ACCOMMODATION

Joining VM Ballet often means choosing to come from afar, sometimes from another region or even another country.

In this demanding program, the question of accommodation is essential to allow each student to thrive in a peaceful and suitable environment.

Over the years, each family has found a solution tailored to their situation, whether it be host families, specialized associations, or shared housing.

True to its personalized and human approach, the school can share contacts and connect families to guide them in their search.

VM Ballet acts as a liaison in these exchanges: the choice and organization of accommodation remain entirely the responsibility of the families.
